<p>As many of you know J. Cole is currently living his hoop dreams in the Basketball Africa League (BAL). However, not everyone thinks he&#8217;s deserving of his current position on Rwanda&#8217;s Patriots Basketball Club. Terrell Stoglin, who is a guard for Moroccan&#8217;s Basketball Club, AS Salé, acknowledged that there were some negatives and positives with Cole&#8217;s addition to the league.</p>
<p>Terrell Stoglin spoke to <em><a href="https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/31504107/j-cole-presence-bal-disrespectful-game-sale-stoglin">ESPN</a></em>, and said he feels like J. Cole&#8217;s position could have gone to someone he feels deserves it, and called his presence in the league &#8220;disrespectful to the game.&#8221;</p>
<p>He said, &#8220;For a guy who has so much money and has another career to just come here and average, like, one point a game and still get glorified is very disrespectful to the game. It&#8217;s disrespectful to the ones who sacrificed their whole lives for this.&#8221;</p>
<p>Terrell acknowledged that attention and money are the positives that can be brought to the league from J. Cole&#8217;s presence.</p>

<p>The Patriots chief operations officer Haydee Ndayishimiye reassured J. Cole&#8217;s addition to the team was a basketball decision. She said, &#8220;We put together a team that we think can win the BAL championship. We have a roster of over 20 players that were ready to compete, but the final roster could only be 13. We made a basketball decision which can be justified by our performance so far.&#8221;</p>
<p>She also said, &#8220;Of course, someone as famous as him will bring a lot of attention, but one thing the BAL, Patriots BBC, and his team have committed to do is to treat him like any other player.&#8221;</p>
<p>As <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/j-cole-reportedly-set-to-sign-a-deal-to-play-basketball-in-rwanda/">previously</a></em> reported, J. Cole&#8217;s addition to the Rwandan basketball team came right before he dropped his current album, &#8220;The Off-Season.&#8221; Last year the <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/the-detroit-pistons-invite-j-cole-to-try-out-for-team-following-reports-hes-training-for-nba/">Detriot Pistons</a></em> invited him to try out for their team after it was revealed that he was training for the NBA.</p>
