Attorney For Aaron Hernandez Says Netflix Doc Got It Wrong–His Client Did Not Take His Life Over His Sexuality

A lot of people watched Netflix’s Aaron Hernandez documentary over the weekend and given all its buzz, it seems like the late football player’s attorney was prompted to say something about what he felt was an inaccurate portrayal of Hernandez’s life.

The documentary, “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez” implied that Hernandez may have comitted suicide because of his struggle with his sexuality but his attorney, Jose Baez, says this is not the case.

Baez says Hernandez took his own life largely because he was suffering from CTE, a progressive brain disease Hernandez had developed since his youth, TMZ reports. Baez strongly believes that Hernandez’s sexual orientation played no part in his fate.

But before y’all think Baez is just piping up because of the documentary, keep in mind the attorney has been adamant about getting Hernandez’s brain studied at Boston University and even accused the Worcester Medical Examiner of holding onto it illegally.

All in all, Baez wasn’t feeling Hernandez’s alleged homosexuality being exploited in the documentary.

The documentary featured Hernandez’s old high school classmate, Dennis SanSoucie, who claimed they used to hook up as teens.

Baez reportedly felt double-crossed by producers and blasted the documentary, referring to it as a “money making scheme.”

Roommates, what are your thoughts on this? Let us know.
