Australian Senator Fraser Anning was in for a surprise on Saturday as he talked to reporters. A video of the senator getting egged in the head by a teenager has gone viral.
According to The Guardian, Anning getting egged in the head comes after he has been highly criticized for blaming Muslim immigration for the recent shooting in New Zealand. Footage shows a teenager with a phone in his hand approaching the senator and then smashing an egg in the back of his head. Anning then turns around and proceeds to hit the teen.
The boy was taken away by police and released without being charged. Victoria Police is currently investigating the incident
On Friday, the devastating news that 49 people were shot and killed at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. According to the New York Times, Anning said in a statement, “The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place.”
His comments have been highly criticized by people from all over.
