#Roommates, our thoughts and prayers are going out to the families of the man and woman whose bodies were discovered inside a burning car in #EastCleveland.

Police are now saying that they’re investigating the fatalities as a homicide. Investigators on scene were able to confirm that the car is a silver #Buick with New York plates and that the car was rented by a man from #Bedford, Ohio, according to @news5cleveland.

Members of the Ohio Fire Marshal’s Office were called to the scene and found the badly-burned bodies in the back seat of the car, police said. The identities of the victims have not officially been released at this time but police did say the remains are of a man and woman. Other reports indicated that family thinks they are the bodies of Paul Bradley and his 14-year-old daughter.

Authorities believe the car was brought to an empty lot next to an abandoned home Wednesday morning.

“We spoke to several neighbors on the street,” said Commander Scott Gardner of the East Cleveland Police Department. “They only thing they heard prior to calling us was a couple of pops from the fire and a larger explosion as they describe it. Nobody’s indicating they heard any other arguments, noises, crashes, anything prior.”

No cause has been determined either.

Investigators spent much of the afternoon and early evening searching the Gould Avenue home of the man who rented that car and police say he hasn’t been heard from all day.

Investigators say they did find evidence of a struggle inside the house and neighbors told police they smelled gasoline coming from the brick home as well.

Police did say the homeowner is known to law enforcement, but would not give any details.

We’ll update you on this story, #Roommates.
