<p>It seems like it has been a long time coming, but tonight Babyface and Teddy Riley faced off in a rematch and gave us the <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/babyface-gives-fans-an-update-on-his-instagram-live-battle-with-teddy-riley-reveals-he-had-coronavirus/">battle</a></em> we’ve all been waiting on. Both legends pulled out all of their classics to prove why they are the legends we know and love today.</p>
<p>There were still some technical difficulties this time around, but that didn’t stop them as they played hit after hit. The battle attracted so many big names as well. Including Michelle Obama, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Janet Jackson, and many others.</p>
<p>Babyface and Teddy Riley first attempted to battle each other over the weekend. However, the highly anticipated battle had to be postponed due to sound issues. However, Monday night, both legends worked through the technical difficulties thrown their way to deliver for their fans.</p>
<p>The battle started off with Teddy Riley coming out strong with SWV&#8217;s 1992 hit &#8220;Right Here.&#8221; Because that song samples Michael Jackson&#8217;s &#8220;Human Nature,&#8221; Babyface told a story about Michael Jackson wanting to ask Halle Berry out on a date before breaking into Toni Braxton&#8217;s &#8220;Love Shoulda Brought You Home,&#8221; off of the &#8220;Boomerang&#8221; soundtrack. As you all know, Halle starred in the 1992 film opposite Eddie Murphy.</p>
<p>As they continued to drop hit after hit, Babyface switched things up as he grabbed his guitar and did a live performance of &#8220;When Can I See You Again,&#8221; and in response, Teddy dropped Blackstreet&#8217;s &#8220;Before I Let Go.&#8221;</p>

<p>Following the success of the battle, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, who host these battles through their verzuz brand, joined each other to cheers to a successful battle. They then proposed that they would like to see Dr. Dre and Diddy face-off for a celebration of the culture.</p>
