Roommates, our forever First Lady Michelle Obama turns 56 years young today—and while she has received birthday messages from all over the world, the one from her husband, our forever President Barack Obama, is definitely the sweetest.
There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t miss our favorite White House couple, Barack and Michelle Obama. Luckily, we have social media to keep up with their post-White House lives and they never disappoint. To celebrate Michelle’s 56th birthday, Barack posted a series of cute photos of the couple hugged up and kissing—looking as in love as ever.
However, it’s his simple yet incredibly sweet caption that has everyone swooning. Barack posted this underneath the photos:
“In every scene, you are my star, @MichelleObama! Happy Birthday, baby!”
Barack never misses an opportunity to show love to his wife, as he regularly openly acknowledges just how important she is in his life. Additionally, Michelle acknowledges that they are #RelationshipGoals for many, but wants to make it clear that a love like hers and Barack’s takes work.
She previously said:
“There are a lot of young couples that look up to me and Barack. We’re hashtag relationship goals. And young couples think, all they see of us are the fist bumps and love…Marriage is work, marriage is hard. But like a man, he was like, ‘Are you sure you want to talk about this?”
