<p>According to court documents reportedly obtained by <a href="https://radaronline.com/p/basketball-wives-star-brittish-williams-files-appeal-4-year-prison-sentence-wire-bank-fraud-court/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">RadarOnline</a>, Beau Brindley, Williams&#8217; lawyer, has filed an appeal regarding the reality star&#8217;s sentence. Additionally, the attorney wants an appellate court to review whether U.S. District Judge Henry E. Autrey used the proper guidelines when sentencing&#8221; Williams.</p>

<p>The outlet adds that after Williams&#8217; sentencing, Brindley stated that his client received mistreatment due to her celebrity status.</p>

<p>In addition to Williams&#8217; four-year sentence, the reality star was also ordered to pay $564,069 in restitution. The reality star&#8217;s charges reportedly included &#8220;five counts of misuse of a Social Security number&#8230; four counts of bank fraud&#8230; three counts of making false statements to the IRS, and three counts of wire fraud.&#8221;</p>
<p>At the time, Williams shared that she hoped her public ordeal would stop &#8220;the next person from doing anything that could possibly have them in the same situation.&#8221;</p>

Additionally, Williams allegedly obtained $144,400 from PPP loans solely intended for businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.</p>
<p>Furthermore, prosecutors alleged that Williams&#8217; schemes brought in almost $446,000 — $139,479.92, which was allegedly defrauded from an insurance company through fake medical bills, per <a href="https://people.com/basketball-wives-star-brittish-williams-sentenced-to-4-years-in-prison-after-committing-fraud-8379963" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PEOPLE</a>.</p>
