Nobody wins when the family feuds. After Coi Leray made a series of posts on Instagram and Twitter calling out her father Benzino, he took to his Instagram and made some claims of his own. Its no secret that Coi has called out the former Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star for being absent in her life in her music and interviews, but Benzino says what she is saying isnt the truth.
Today he went live on Instagram and doubled down on his claims that he took care of his daughter. He said, People need storylines. Yall saying Im doing this because of clout, but she mentioned me in the song, stupid. Yall have known anything was going on.Benzino explained to viewers about the time he spent with Coi. He claimed every Summer, Spring Break, Christmas, and Thanksgiving, they spent time together.
It wasn’t just Coi, but it was her brothers who arent his biological children. Things got interesting during the live when the conversation took a turn, and he brought up Cois mother. Benzino claimed that she poisoned Cois image of him because she was mad that they were no longer in a relationship. As the live continued, he said that he didnt want any of the back and forth to happen. I didnt even want this, but I knew this s**t was going to happen, he said. I knew once she put that line in the song, I knew what was gonna happen. Shes made 100 songs, you think I wanted to address this s**t, but Im gonna cause Im going to defend my honor. Ain’t nobody else gonna do this for me.
As of now, Coi hasnt responded to her father, and many feel like thats the best way to handle the situation. Many of the Roommates left comments advising them to take their family issues and talk directly on the phone. We hope Coi and Benzino can repair their relationship and move forward!
