As the Beyhive awaits for her Super Bowl performance with rock band Coldplay on Sunday, the Queen bey has been busy making some alterations to her management team!
Exclusively from Pagesix, it’s been revealed that Beyonce has not only got rid of her former manager and friend, Callahan, but did some early Spring cleaning with the rest of the affiliates of her management team; Even her cousin had to exit stage left!
“Beyoncé basically cleaned house, got rid of her whole team, which included her cousin, and hired a new team. She wants to surround herself with business people who could take her career to an even higher level.” The insider added, “She has one album left to deliver before her deal is up with Columbia, plus she wants to make smarter decisions where it comes to touring, sponsorships and acting roles.”
Beyonce’s friend of 10 years, Lee Ann Callahan-Longo , had the head management spot for 5 years but is not replaced with Steve Pomon, who formally ran JPMorgan Chase’s sports and entertainment marketing strategic.
Pomon was also the genius behind Beyonce and Jay-Z’s ‘On The Run Tour’ back in 2014 so we know only good things can come from him now managing Bey! He will now be a part of Parkwood Entertainment, which is Beyonce’s label that focuses on her music, acting roles, apparel and her image all-together!
Now her new team is even more grand as she not only added Pomon as a her head manager, but Peter Thea, former Universal Republic and Island Def Jam executive, and Dan Ghosh Roy who will run the digital side of things!
Beyonce’s rep, Yvette Noel-Schure told Pagesix, “Last year, Parkwood Entertainment created new departments and recruited new executives from the tech, business and entertainment sectors who joined the team to help grow Parkwood and its interests . . . Some senior staffers were given the opportunity to reposition and stay on.”
Beyonce is looking for more tv roles, endorsements deals and anything else that can have her career over the top! Other artists like Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Rihanna and more are out here gaining major publicity and she wants to stay on her A-game with her career as much as much as she can!
