Beyoncé is on her way to the big screen! She just got casted to star in a remake of classic film “A Star Is Born” with actor Bradley Cooper who is directing the film!
According to Page Six, Queen Bey has been reportedly taking acting classes and is for sure a go for the film. A classic to some, “A Star Is Born” came out originally in the 1930s, remade in the 50s and again in the 70s. Beyonce is expected to play the star main character who is an aspiring actress who moves to Hollywood to start her career and is guided by a starlet through the crazy entertainment world.
You might be expecting Bey to be singing in the film but according to sources she wanted a dramatic role with some iconic potential that is relevant to the African American community and it looks like this is perfect for what she was going for! Bey and her family were in the news for looking for a new house and school for Blue Ivy in LA not too long ago so it makes sense that she’s trying to perfect her acting skills!
The film is still in it’s early phases with most characters still being filled. It’s expected to go to filming in late 2016 or early 2017. That gives Bey plenty of time to get into character!
Beyoncé won awards for Dreamgirls which released almost ten years ago so it’s about time we see Beyoncé somewhere off the stage!
