Beyonce’s 3-Project Netflix Deal Is Reportedly Worth $60 Million

#Beyflix really is a fitting name for #Netflix now that #Beyonce is about to give us more content through the streaming service.

According to @Variety, #QueenBey has signed on to give us three projects and Netflix is reportedly paying her a hefty bag worth $60 million for the deal.

Just to make things clear, the first of the three specials is Homecoming, the behind-the-scenes documentary that chronicled Beys 2018 Coachella performance and the one many stayed up all night for on Wednesday.

As far as the other two projects, you know the queen tells us as much as she wants us to know and her drops are often cloaked in mystery, wanting us leaving more.

But the fact is, were still getting two new projects from Bey and I love to see Beyonces creative side on screen.

The price tag for Homecoming, which Beyonce Knowles-Carter is credited as executive producer, writer and director, was around $20 million.

Beyonces rep did not respond to Varietys requests for comment on the deal and Netflix declined comment for Varietys story as well, although a source at the company disputed the financial terms of the deal.

But Netflix did create some buzz today after the streaming giant reported theyre doing very well, announcing that it added nearly 10 million subscribers in its first quarter.

According to Vulture, HBO was also interested in Beyonces project, having had a long relationship with her after airing her 2016 Lemonade film as well as her 2014 On the Run Tour concert special with Jay-Z plus her 2013 documnetary Life Is But a Dream.

HBO reportedly backed out of the bidding when Netflix came in with a richer offer. HBO has also not responded to Varietys request for comment.

Are yall excited for Beyonces new Netflix projects? Let us know if youll be watching, Roommates.
