TSR Exclusive Details: Although Bill Cosbys team had held out hope for an early release following Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolfs order to release some convicts, officials made it clear that it wasnt going to happen for Bill.
Mr. Cosby is not eligible for release under Gov. Wolfs order since he was convicted of a violent offense (aggravated indecent assault) and was deemed a Sexually Violent Predator, Montgomery County District Attorneys Office spokesperson, Kate Delano said Thursday as some inmates began being released, according to Deadline. So for both of those reasons, he would not be eligible to be released.
Well, Bill Cosbys publicist tells The Shade Room the news came as a shock to Bills team because sources very close to Governor Wolf gave them solid information that the governor felt Bill should be released and remanded to house arrest due to his age (82) and his underlying medical condition (blindness).
For them to say, Mr. Cosby doesnt meet the criteria is ludicrous, ridiculous and absurd (criteria) across this country was thrown out of the window, especially when Covid-19 was labeled a pandemic, said Andrew Wyatt, Bill Cosbys publicist. The overall actions of the State of Pennsylvania down to the Montgomery County District Attorneys Office, show that their actions are merely political, personal and racist. Mr. Cosby wasnt given a life and/or death sentence but their goal is to execute Mr. Cosby by exposing him to the risk of contracting Covid-19. Their reasons are inhumane and Un-American.
Wyatt also tells us that Bills legal team, which is being led by attorney Jennifer Bonjean, is constructing a compassionate motion to the governor today in hopes to free Bill.
Bill Cosby has been behind bars in Pennsylvania for over a year and a half for the 2004 rape of Andrea Constand. He was sentenced to three to 10 years in prison.
Well keep you posted on any updates regarding Bill Cosby and his status in prison.
