<p>Prayers Up: Roommates, we are saddened to report on the loss of Bill Gates&#8217; father, William Henry Gates II. Bill revealed that he passed away at the age of 94 on Monday.</p>
<p>&#8220;We have all had a long time to reflect on just how lucky we are to have had this amazing man in our lives for so many years,&#8221; Bill wrote on his official blog. &#8220;The Bill &; Melinda Gates Foundation would not be what it is today without my dad.</p>
<p>Bill said his father was an important part of starting the <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/stephen-ayesha-curry-are-working-through-their-foundation-to-help-feed-the-students-in-the-oakland-community-in-the-wake-of-the-schools-closing/">charitable organization</a>, and says he has always aspired to walk in his footsteps.</p>
<p>&#8220;My father&#8217;s death is a tremendous loss for our family and the many people whose lives he touched. Dad lived a long and enormously meaningful life. I never stopped learning from his wisdom, kindness, and humility. Melinda and I owe him a special debt because his commitment to serving the community and the world helped inspire out own philanthropy.&#8221;</p>
