It seems like we have been waiting forever for Lil Waynes highly anticipated album Tha Carter V, to drop.
There has seemed to be some back and forth between Birdman and Lil Wayne that has put a hold on the project’s release, but Birdman is guaranteeing that the album will drop this year.
While promoting his new documentary Before Anythang: The Cash Money Story, Birdman talked to Rap-Up and guaranteed the albums release.
He said, Well get that this year. Im guaranteeing you gon get it this year. When asked if there was a more specific timeline he responded, Thats on Tunechi, whatever he wants to do, but Im guaranteeing youre gonna get it this year.
He proceeded to say that he heard a few of the tracks on the project.
He is the best ever to me, said Birdman. A lot of success comes from under his umbrella. I think its gonna be the biggest album of 2018, one of them. Without a doubt. Its gonna be well worth the wait.
While fans continue to wait for “Tha Carter V” to drop, Lil Wayne continues to feed fans new music through the mixtape circuit. Back in December, he treated fans to the release of “The Dedication 6.”
