We can’t tell if Birdman done lost his mind or if he is really that money hungry but word on the street is he is suing Jay Z for letting Lil Wayne stream his music on Tidal!! For some reason we saw this coming but the nerve of him!
According to docs obtained by TMZ, Baby is suing Jay Z for $50 million because he says Cash Money has exclusive rights to Weezy music and Tidal illegally streamed his FWA album.
Baby also got real bold in his lawsuit calling the move “a desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service.” Oop!!
On the otherhand, Tidal says Wayne gave them the okay with the streaming deal just as long as he was granted partial ownership of Tidal. Too bad Baby is saying under contract Wayne does not have the power to give his music to anyone!
This comes to light when word broke about indictments tieing Young Thug and Birdman to Lil Wayne’s tour bus shooting a few months ago.
