<p><strong>Martin Lawrence</strong> was honored Thursday <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/michael-b-jordan-hollywood-walk-of-fame/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">with a star</a> on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The comedian was surrounded by family and friends, including <strong>Steve Harvey</strong>, <strong>Tichina Arnold</strong>, <strong>Tracy Morgan</strong>, and <strong>Lynn Whitfield</strong>.</p>
<p>Lawrence<a href="https://extratv.com/2023/04/20/martin-lawrence-gives-jamie-foxx-update-he-s-doing-better-exclusive/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> reflected on the honor</a> and talked about being inspired by <strong>Richard Pryor</strong> and <strong>Eddie Murphy. </strong></p>
<blockquote><p>“I&#8217;m truly honored… I feel so blessed, and I thank God for this honor and just recognition and my fans, and it&#8217;s something that I always wanted. Richard Pryor was my first introduction to wanting to be in the business, and I wanted to do this,” Martin told <em>Extra.</em> He added, “He inspired me, him and Eddie Murphy… Just following what they&#8217;ve done in their career has allowed me to push forward in mine, so I&#8217;m very grateful and thankful.”</p></blockquote>

<p>Lawrence has entertained fans in comedy, film, and television for decades since starting in the late 1980s. The 57-year-old was launched to success as the titular star of the sitcom <em>Martin</em> before leaving for Hollywood and joining Will Smith in the long-running <em>Bad Boys</em> film franchise.</p>
<p>Since then, Lawrence has starred in a plethora of films, including pop culture hits like the<em> Big Momma’s House</em> and <em>House Party</em> films.</p>

<p>During the event, Martin even showed love to <strong>Jamie Foxx </strong>and expressed well wishes.</p>

<p>The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce adds stars to the Walk of Fame at an average of two stars per month, according to their <a href="https://walkoffame.com/history/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">official website</a>. The Walk is a tribute to those who worked hard to develop the concept and maintain this world-class tourist attraction.</p>
