Blind Man Sues Hooters For Gift Cards Without Braille

<p>Roommates&comma; Hooters might be in the market for new gift cards after this customer is done with them&excl;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;tmz&period;com&sol;2019&sol;10&sol;24&sol;hooters-sued-legally-blind-man-no-braille-gift-cards&sol;">TMZ<&sol;a>&comma; a legally blind man named Marcos Calcano is suing Hooters on behalf of himself and others with impaired vision&period; Apparently&comma; Calcano is in the market for a gift card from the restaurant&comma; but none of them contain Braille&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In the lawsuit&comma; Calcano says adding Braille to the gift cards is a simple solution to his problem&comma; and &&num;8220&semi;would restore the dignity to blind persons&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to the legal documents&comma; Hooters informed him it does not sell gift cards containing Braille&comma; and he believes the chain has no intentions of changing its mind&period; Calcano claims the only store that sells Braille gift cards is Starbucks&comma;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Calcano says he &&num;8220&semi;intends to immediately purchase at least one store gift card&&num;8221&semi; from Hooters as soon as the Braille is added&period; Until then&comma; he plans to move forward with his class action lawsuit&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Calcano is reportedly seeking unspecified damages&comma; and wants the court to order Hooters to create Braille gift cards as soon as possible&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>This is not Hooters&&num;8217&semi; first time on the lawsuit boat&comma; however&period; Earlier this year&comma; two Hooters employees brought a lawsuit against the franchise&comma; claiming they were sexually harassed while working&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The two men reportedly claimed they were repeatedly humiliated and belittled in front of their colleagues at several Hooters locations in California&period; Hooters lawyers stated in their court papers that the company has a strict written policy forbidding sexual harassment&comma; discrimination and retaliation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Although the judge could not find any evidence to prove the claims&comma;
