A few months ago Bobby Brown and his family suffered yet another unfortunate loss when his son Bobby Brown Jr. passed away at the age of 28. Prior to that, he also has experienced the loss of his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and also his ex-wife Whitney Houston.
Bobby and his wife Alicia were the latest guests to join Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris on “Red Table Talk.” During their discussion, Bobby talked about the tragic loss of his son and daughter, his journey with overcoming his own addictions, and more.
This was the first interview Bobby has done since the passing of Bobby Jr. last November. While speaking about his son’s passing, he also brought up the dangers of fentanyl and the many lives that the drug is claiming, as that was one of the substances found in Bobby Jr.’s system at the time of his passing. There has since been an investigation launched into Bobby Jr.’s death. Bobby also touched on the passing of his daughter Bobbi Kristina, who unfortunately passed away back in 2015 at the age of 22.
He also talked about Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s ex, who passed last year from a heroin overdose. Bobby noted that he thinks that Nick was not only responsible for Bobbi Kristina’s death, but also Whitney’s. He said, “He was the only one there with both situations, with my ex-wife, and with my daughter, and they both died the same way.”
Bobby also spoke about his past addictions on the show and revealed that he has been clean for 19 years from narcotics, and almost a year from alcohol. He spoke about how drinking alcohol started to cause him to lose bodily function, and looking at his younger children made him realize he needed to change.
