An associate of Bobby Shmurda has just been sentenced to 98 1/3 years behind bars for multiple conspiracies including the fatal shooting of a gang rival.
Rashid Derissant, 24, a member of GS9, was on trial for 22 counts of gang-related activity including conspiracy, murder, attempted murder and assault. He fatally shot a 19-year-old rival in Brooklyn in February 2013 and attempted to kill three others in the same incident. In July 2014, the 24 year old also shot an innocent bystander in the neck and hip.
So what does this mean for Shmurda? Well, he is set to be tried this September for gang-related activity including conspiracy commit murder, however he’s not going down without a fight.

Pollard is suing the NYPD over his alleged false arrest, claiming the drug paraphernalia and gun found in the apartment where Pollard was located weren’t his, and claiming cops taunted him by “chanting the lyrics to his chart-topping songs” as they searched the premises.”
After all is said and done, could Bobby Shmurda be sentenced to 98 years as well?
