Things are not looking up for DaBaby as he continues to receive heavy backlash for his recent comments at Rolling Loud about the LGBTQ community and HIV/AIDS survivors. Celebrities, such as TS Madison, Dua Lipa, Demi Lovato and even Elton John, have taken a clear stance against the rapper in the last days. Now, fast fashion retailer boohooMAN has announced they will no longer be working with the award-winning artist.

“boohooMan condemn the use of homophobic language and confirm we will no longer be working with DaBaby,” the retail company said in a statement posted to their official Instagram.
This news comes almost a month after DaBaby teamed up with the online retailer to co-create a fashion line. The collection included a 100 limited edition pieces, which reportedly embodied his “bold, creative and colorful style.”

In their announcement about parting ways, boohooMan reiterated their support for the LGBTQ+ community and said they “do not tolerate hate speech or discrimination in any form.” No additional details were provided on the future sale of products from the collection.
Shortly after the boohooMan news broke, DaBaby posted a snippet of his performance footage, in which he ducks a sneaker thrown at him. He captioned the post “no weapon formed” followed by “This how I dodge anything sent to bring me down. Check my resume and sit back. #MySoulAintForSale”

As previously reported, during his set at Rolling Loud DaBaby made controversial statements involving the LGBTQ community and people living with HIV/AIDS.
“If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up,” DaBaby said during his performance. “Ladies, if your p***y smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”
Amid the backlash on Monday, DaBaby posted a series of Instagram videos seemingly clarifying his statements saying they were meant to amp the crowd up. He even said his gay fans were also participating in the call out because his gay fans “don’t got f***ing AIDS.”
Just a day later and still receiving backlash, DaBaby released what seemed to be an official apology in a series of tweets. He began by calling out his critics saying they wouldn’t show the same support when racist cops kill Black people. Then, he spoke specifically to people affected by HIV/AIDS and to the LGBTQ community.
“Anybody who done ever been effected by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset, what I said was insensitive even though I have no intentions on offending anybody. So my apologies. But the LGBT community…I ain’t trippin on y’all, do you. y’all business is y’all business.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, no results populate when searching “DaBaby” or “boohooMAN X DaBaby” on the retailer’s official website.
