No, the video you’re watching is not a behind-the-scenes look for the new “White Chicks” movie. This is a Brazilian gang leader who tried to escape from prison by dressing up as his daughter.
Authorities said Clauvino da Silva’s daughter went to visit him behind bars and he tried to walk out the penitentiary’s main door in her place dressed up just like her, according to @cbsnews.
But prison officials became hip to his facade when da Silva, also known as “Shorty,” reportedly started acting nervous as he tried to leave the Rio de Janeiro prison.
But make no mistake about it, da Silva was prepared. He had a silicon girl’s mask and a long dark-haired wig. His plan was apparently to leave his 19-year-old daughter inside the jail.
Police are now looking into the daughter to see if she was possibly an accomplice in da Silva’s scheme. The daughter and seven other people who had recently visited da Silva are reportedly being questioned in the failed escape.
Officials believe da Silva’s visitors were the ones who smuggled in the goods to help him disguise himself.
Rio’s State Secretary of Prison Administration released photos showing da Silva in the mask and wig, wearing tight jeans and a pink shirt with a cartoon image of donuts. They also released a video in which da Silva can be seen removing the mask and some of the clothes.

Da Silva was part of the leadership of the Red Command, one of the most powerful criminal groups in Brazil that controlled drug trafficking in a large part of Rio, according to authorities.
After his failed escape, da Silva was transferred to a unit of a maximum-security prison and will face disciplinary sanctions, officials said.
