Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, recently caught a ton of attention online thanks to a resurfaced interview that involved the couple getting quizzed on each other’s favorite things.
Specifically, Brittany, who is white, is getting the side-eye after proudly — and incorrectly — guessing that her biracial husband’s “favorite cheat day meal” is “fried chicken.”
Brittany Got The Question Wrong TWICE Before Patrick Unveiled His REAL Favorite
The interaction went down during an interview with GQ that premiered last month.
The premise of the sit-down was for Patrick and Brittany, who have been together since high school, to engage in a “couples quiz” to see just how well they know each other.
Nearly six-and-a-half minutes into the interview, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback asked his wife, “What’s my favorite cheat day meal?”
Without missing a beat, Brittany Mahomes confidently answered with “fried chicken.” She was also sure to drag her answer out with a lil’ drawl, as the answer came out as “friiied chicken.”
However, Patrick Mahomes let his wife know that her guess was incorrect, and she followed up by guessing “chicken-fried steak and mashed potatoes.”
Nonetheless, Patrick confirmed that this was also incorrect before meekly sharing that the real answer is Mexican food, with a particular emphasis on Tex-Mex cuisine.
