Cops busted up an underground party inside a Brooklyn barbershop over the weekend that had more than 50 people in attendance neglecting social distancing rules.
Police pulled up to eNVee Barbershop to find dozens of people partying in the basement of what was supposed to be a shuttered business, according to the New York Daily News.
Officers handed out 60 summonses to partygoers for violating social distancing rules and arrested two people in connection to a gun found at the scene, according to sources.
As cops broke up the party, NYPD helicopters flew above the scene to make sure all the quarantine violaters were caught.
One man detained at the scene hopped on social media saying that he was just a camera man and the group at the barbershop was shooting a music video but cops said the music video claim was false and that it was a party with no purpose.
The party being shut down comes on the heels of New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s plea on Saturday for New Yorker’s to snitch on people and non-essential businesses violating stay-at-home rules.
It was nearly a month ago when New York Governor Andrew Cuomo ordered the shut down of all barber shops, nail salons and tattoo parlors to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
