<p>We are saddened to report that Bruce Willis is retiring from acting, Roommates. In a statement, his family revealed that he has chosen to step away from his career after being diagnosed with aphasia, which is a condition that impacts ones ability to speak, write or understand language as a result of brain damage.</p>
<p>Demi Moore shared the news in a post on Instagram.</p>
<p>&#8220;To Bruce&#8217;s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and much consideration Bruce Willis is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him,&#8221; Demi wrote.</p>

<p>The beloved actor is known for his portrayal of John McClane in the 1988 action move &#8216;Die Hard&#8217;, which soon became his first major film franchise. He&#8217;s been nominated for five Golden Globes and three Emmy&#8217;s oner the course of his career, which stretches over four decades.</p>
