<p>Recently Caitlyn Jenner announced her run for governor in California, and while she was out, <em><a href="https://www.tmz.com/2021/05/01/caitlyn-jenner-trans-girls-ban-sports-biological-boys/">TMZ</a></em> caught up with her and asked her opinion about legislation&#8217;s consideration to ban transgender athletes from competing in certain sports based on their gender identity.</p>
<p>When asked about her thoughts on the states that are trying to ban students who were biologically born as boys and that are now transgender girls, from competing in girls&#8217; sports, Caitlyn said, &#8220;There&#8217;s a question of fairness. That&#8217;s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls&#8217; sports in school. It just isn&#8217;t fair, and we have to protect girl sports in our schools.&#8221;</p>

<p>As many of you know, Caitlyn Jenner was an Olympic gold medal-winning decathlon prior to her transition into a woman.</p>
<p>Caitlyn later doubled down on her stance and responded to the interview on Twitter and <em><a href="https://twitter.com/Caitlyn_Jenner/status/1388585005199228928">said</a></em>, &#8220;I didn’t expect to get asked this on my Saturday morning coffee run, but I’m clear about where I stand. It’s an issue of fairness and we need to protect girls’ sports in our schools.&#8221;</p>

<p>As we previously reported, last week, Caitlyn announced that she filed the paperwork to run for governor of California.</p>

<p>She said in a statement, &#8220;I am a proven winner and the only outsider who can put an end to <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/governor-gavin-newsome-issues-mandatory-stay-at-home-order-in-california/">Gavin Newsom</a></em>&#8216;s disastrous time as governor.&#8221;</p>
