Roommates, Cardi B has already had an amazing year—and thanks to her incredibly popular song “Up,” her 2021 just got even better. Following the news that she just achieved her fifth number one song courtesy of “Up,” Cardi B headed to social message to post a heartfelt message of thanks.

Cardi B (alongside Megan Thee Stallion) shocked Grammy audiences with their steamy performance of their hit single “Wap”—however, it’s Cardi’s current solo hit that’s officially topping the charts. Billboard just released its latest Hot 100 Singles list and Cardi is sitting pretty at the number one spot, jumping from number six to number one in only a week’s time.

To celebrate her latest win, Cardi posted the following message on Instagram:

“I want God to come see me in my dreams when I take a nap today so I can kiss his feet and tell him how much I love him!!! Yooooo s**t is amazing yooooo. I got no words. Actually I got a lot of words but I can’t type it all. NUMBER 1!!!!!”

According to Billboard, here’s the breakdown of “Up’s” success. The song racked up 22.7 million U.S. streams and 18,000 downloads sold in the week ending March 18th, according to MRC Data. “Up” also received 34.9 million radio airplay audience impressions  in the week ending March 21st.

With the success of the song, Cardi B is getting closer to releasing her highly anticipated second album.
