Roommates, do you guys remember when model Kevin Michael Brophy, Jr. came for #CardiB and accused her of photoshopping him onto her “Gangsta B*tch Music Vol. 1” cover? Well, she’s now accusing him of trying to extort her and wants the case drizz-opped!
According to court documents obtained by @Blast, Cardi’s legal team claims that Brophy is seeking “Whatever piece of Cardi B’s income he can gouge out, and whatever free ride on her famous coat-tails he can gain, through extortionate means of this unfounded, preposterous action.”
If you recall, Brophy, claimed that his likeness was used for Cardi’s “Gangsta B*tch Music Vol. 1” album cover and said he was never contacted about it. He also claimed that his back tattoo of a tiger fighting a snake matches.
However, the rapper’s attorneys say that this is a “classic example of transformative work created in the exercise of the First Amendment rights of the photographer.” They call the tattoo claims “simply ludicrous.”
Cardi reportedly wants this case dropped ASAP so hopefully she gets her wish!
