<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Former baseball player Carl Crawford is behind bars in Texas for alleged domestic violence, according to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2020/06/04/carl-crawford-arrested-domestic-violence-mlb/">TMZ Sports.</a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The details surrounding the incident aren’t clear but jail records show Carl Crawford is facing a charge of assault on a family or household member and “impede breath/circulat” which usually means there’s been an allegation of choking involved.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Authorities say Carl surrendered to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office earlier today. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Carl is currently in custody, being held on a $10,000 bond.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It wasn’t immediately clear if this most recent incident has anything to do with the <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/woman-child-pass-away-after-drowning-in-the-pool-at-carl-crawfords-home/">tragic drownings that took place at his Houston home.</a> We previously reported that a woman and a child died at Carl’s home after they reportedly fell in a pool and drowned.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">While details about that incident also remain unclear, Carl released a statement following the accident, expressing his sympathy.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">&#8220;My (Heart’s) Heavy. The tragic events that occurred at my home will be with me forever. I&#8217;m at a loss for words I&#8217;ve struggled all week to manage my emotions and I keep thinking of the families of those who&#8217;ve passed and their grief, I know they have it the hardest.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">He continued, &#8220;They are the first and last thing I think of these days. Please keep them in your prayers, I know they will always be in mine.&#8221;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In regard to Thursday’s incident, the identity of the alleged victim has yet to be released.</span></p>
