<p>United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York <strong>Damian Williams</strong> did not hold back at sentencing Tuesday. Williams tore into the 36-year-old Brooklyn native for his role in recruiting and expanding the Gorilla Stone Nation Bloods street gang nationwide.</p>

<p>Williams went on to make an example of the rapper, adding, &#8220;Today&#8217;s sentencing&#8230; shows once again that gang life&#8230; will lead to many years in prison.&#8221;</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Casanova&#8217;s Girlfriend Says She&#8217;s Holding Her Man Down While He Completes 15+ Year Sentence</h3>
<p>In an Instagram post, Casanova&#8217;s girlfriend, <strong>Jazzy,</strong> said she would hold her man down as he completes his prison sentence.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I love you baby. We got walk that s*** down!&#8221; Jazzy captioned the post alongside a photo of the couple holding hands.</p></blockquote>
<p>Cas is the 12th defendant in the Gorilla Stone case to have been sentenced as of Tuesday. Five additional defendants have pled guilty and are currently awaiting sentencing.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the news comes less than two weeks after Casanova penned a letter to the judge asking for leniency before Tuesday&#8217;s sentencing.</p>
<p>In it, the Roc Nation rapper <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/casanova-gang-suicidal-thoughts-letter-judge/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">renounced his gang ties</a>, as reported by <em><strong>The Shade Room</strong></em> earlier this month. Cas said he would use his name to speak against gang life should the judge grant him leniency.</p>
<p>He even admitted that he’d <a href="https://hiphopdx.com/news/casanova-disavows-gorilla-stone-gang-sentencing-letter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">had suicidal thoughts</a> while incarcerated in the letter to Judge Philip Halpern before his June 27 sentencing date, <em>HipHopDX</em> reports.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Casanova Slashed In Prison By Fellow Inmate Same Day Rapper Renounced His Gang Ties</h3>
<p>However, Casanova was reportedly stabbed at the Essex County Correctional Facility on June 15.</p>
<p>The rapper was “<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra4MdHOeiXY" target="_blank" rel="noopener">slashed with a weapon by another inmate</a>” named Ulysses Lugo, according to <em>NBC New York</em>. The slashing occurred the same day he renounced his gang ties.</p>
<p>Following Tuesday&#8217;s sentencing, his girlfriend elaborated on the incident via her Instagram Story.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Now that he&#8217;s sentenced, let me address this. I said they saying you got a buck 50 baby,&#8221; she went on to post, referencing a cut on the face of an inmate that requires at least 150 stitches, per the <em>Charlotte Observer</em>.</p></blockquote>
<p>Jazzy continued: &#8220;He video-called me they must be talking bout that buck 50 you put on my commissary. That boy look good.&#8221;</p>
<p>She also posted a photo of the alleged &#8220;slash wound.&#8221; It appeared to be nothing more than a slight cut next to his nose, per the photo.</p>
