<p>Do you guys remember the 2004 film “Johnson Family Vacation,” starring <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/cedric-the-entertainer-gets-a-street-named-after-him-in-st-louis/">Cedric The Entertainer</a></em>, Vanessa Williams, Steve Harvey, Solange, Bow Wow and a host of others? Well, the film is getting a sequel, and Cedric along with DeVon Franklin are attached as producers.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/johnson-family-vacation-sequel-works-1246685">The Hollywood Reporter</a></em>, “Johnson Family Celebration,” will pick up nearly two decades after the first film, with Cedric reprising his role as Nate Johnson.</p>
<p>Cedric The Entertainer is on board as one of the film’s producers alongside, DeVon Franklin, who will produce under his Franklin Entertainment banner. Michael Elliot, who has written films such as “Like Mike,” and “Just Wright,” will pen the script for the sequel.</p>
<p>Expressing his excitement on social media, Cedric The Entertainer said, “We believe your gonna laugh, love and truly appreciate what we are calling ‘Johnson Family Celebration.’”</p>

<p>For those who are unfamiliar with the film&#8217;s synopsis, Nate Johnson, who is played by Cedric, takes his family on a cross country trip to his family reunion. While driving to their destination, the encounter different obstacles. Along the way, the Johnson family receive some well-needed bonding time and are quickly reminded of the true meaning of family.</p>
<p>The film earned $31.5 million at the box office and earned three nominations at the 2004 BET Comedy Awards.</p>
<p>At the moment, there has been no announcement who else would be reprising their roles for the sequel.</p>
