On Thursday, Chance The Rapper announced to his fans the release of his four latest singles. In his single “I Might Need Security,” the Chicago native announced his purchase of the local news website the Chicagoist.

He said on the track, “I got a hit list so long I don’t know how to finish, I brought the Chicagoist just to run you racist b*ches out of business.”

According to the Huffington Post, Chance’s Social Works organization purchased the site from WNYC, New York’s public radio station, which purchased the website amongst others ist-sites, such as the Gothamist, LAist, and DCist.

Chance said in a statement, “I’m extremely excited to be continuing the work of the Chicagoist, an integral local platform for Chicago news, events, and entertainment. WNYC’s commitment to finding homes for the -ist brands, including Chicagoist, was an essential part of continuing the legacy and integrity of the site. “I look forward to re-launching it and bringing the people of Chicago an independent media outlet focused on amplifying diverse voices and content.”

Laura Walker, the president and CEO of New York Public Radio said, “The Chicagoist assets are finding a new home in the hands of a proud Chicagoan.”
