Aside from his music, Chance The Rapper is known for his philanthropic efforts.
The rapper has been known to come up with multiple ways to help fund the public school system in his hometown of Chicago, and he continues to do so.
According to Billboard, Chance The Rapper has teamed up with transportation network, Lyft, to help underfunded public schools in Chicago.
Chicago riders that use Lyft now have the option to round up their fare to the nearest dollar, and the difference will be donated to Chance’s program, New Chance: Art Literature Fund.
Chance said, “Through the New Chance Arts & Literature Fund, I’m committed to giving the kids in Chicago as much as I can. And now with Lyft’s Round-Up & Donate, we can give them much more because the more we ride, the more we raise to bring more arts programs to Chicago Public Schools.”
It’s great to see Chance The Rapper continue his charitable efforts to help the children in his community.
