<p>19-year-old Kajuan Raye was shot and killed by Chicago police.</p>
<p>The assaulting sergeant, whose name is yet to be released responded to a &#8220;battery in progress&#8221; claim near Ogden Park Wednesday evening.</p>
<p>The sergeant claims that Kajuan was not only armed, but pointed his weapon at him. Authorities have not recovered the alleged weapon yet.</p>
<p>&#8220;We were not able to locate a weapon [of Raye&#8217;s] as of yet,&#8221; police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said Thursday. &#8220;There&#8217;s still many unanswered questions and we are working diligently to find those answers.&#8221;</p>
<p>Kajuan allegedly fit the description of the suspect the police were called about. <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/25/us/chicago-police-shooting/index.html"><strong>According to CNN</strong></a>, when the sergeant approached him, he took off running. Not too long after that is when the sergeant claims Kajuan pointed a weapon at him two different times during the chase.</p>
<p>&#8220;The sergeant then told investigators that the offender turned and pointed a weapon in the direction of the sergeant on two separate occasions during the pursuit,&#8221; Johnson said.</p>
<p>Fortunately, two surveillance cameras caught the chase. Unfortunately, the shooting did not get caught on camera.</p>
<p>Following routine protocol, the officer will be placed on administrative leave and will be off of patrol for at least 30 days.<br />
Kajuan&#8217;s family says he was fun and loving. Our prayers are with them during this time.</p>
