Roommates, now y’all know Chick-Fil-A customer service is undefeated, but somehow, these employees continue to find ways to outdo themselves! This time, a young man did the unthinkable when a customer’s phone fell down into a storm drain.
According to ABC 13 Houston, one Chick-fil-A employee in Stafford, Virginia felt it was his duty to make a customer’s day in an extraordinary way. Shauna Hill says she was getting out of her van at the restaurant when she dropped her phone in the parking lot and it fell in a storm drain.
“After a moment of losing my freakin’ mind, I layoff the ground, placing my head best I can between my van and the drain, looking into the dark abyss to see if by any chance it has landed somewhere I can reach,” she writes on Facebook. “Of course it has not. In disbelief and as I am about to puke and cry, I go in and ask for a manager. The manager comes over to talk to me and is very friendly but unsure how to help.”
Shortly after, the digital marketing director of Chick-fil-A, Seth, came through to turn the situation around! Once he heard about Shauna’s situation. he immediately stepped in, removing the manhole cover and jumping down to retrieve her phone.
Seth reportedly sliced his finger moving the storm drain cover, but cleaned himself and continued down into the hole.
“After trying to reach it with his grab-stick then dropping his stick, he tells me it’s a manhole for a reason and he is going down. He then climbs down into the hole ad retrieves my phone which miraculously is not broken or wet,” she writes.
Shauna snapped a photo of Seth in the manhole, and caption it “Service with a smile. Just another day at Chick-fil-A.”
