Chris Tucker Is Not Too Sure If He’ll Revive His Role As Smokey For ‘Friday’ Franchise

There is no doubt that the 1995 film; Friday is a classic. Everyone has his or her favorite characters and favorite lines from the film.

After its release, the Friday franchise would go on to grow with two additional films, Next Friday and Friday After Next.

Now the concept of a fourth film, Last Friday has been going around. Back in August Ice Cube took to Twitter and said, We had a meeting. Cant do Last Friday unless we can do it right. Ball is in New Line Cinemas hands. Bat is in mine.

Recently Global Grinds BlogXilla caught up with Chris Tucker as he promoted his new film, Billy Lynns Long Halftime Walk, and asked if he would revive his role as Smokey for Last Friday.

Tucker said, I was flipping through the TV and I was watching Friday. It was a moment in time, and I was a young kid and I was laughing through the whole thing too and I was proud of that making myself laugh. I dont know if we can do another one. I dont know if I can do another one because I was so young and it was a moment in time, but well see.

Now it wasnt a complete no, so lets just cross our fingers and hope that things work out and we can see Smokey in the Last Friday film.
