<p>Well, it looks like Andy Cohen isn’t losing his holiday gig with CNN, despite bubbling rumors! The television host went viral just a few days ago for his rant against former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, along with additional unprofessional comments. His opinions of the mayor being “horrible” influenced calls for CNN to cut him loose from the holiday special. But, according to <a href="https://people.com/tv/andy-cohen-only-regret-from-hosting-new-years-eve-was-calling-out-ryan-seacrest/">a statement provided to People</a>, we’ll be seeing Andy host ‘New Year’s Eve Live’ again.</p>
<h6><strong>Spokeswoman Refutes Firing Talks</strong></h6>
<p>“Andy said something he shouldn&#8217;t have on live tv,” a CNN spokeswoman told People. “We&#8217;ve addressed it with him and look forward to having him back again next year.&#8221;</p>
<p>The morning after saying “sayonara sucka” to Bill on live television, Andy admitted he might’ve had a touch too much drank. He wrote on Twitter saying, “um, I was a bit overserved last night.” Andy&#8217;s commentary about the former mayor centered on how folks, including himself, Democrats and Republicans, felt about Bill&#8217;s time in office.</p>
<p>“Watching Mayor de Blasio do his ‘victory lap’ dance after four years of the crappiest job as the mayor of New York! The only thing that the Democrats and the Republicans can agree on is what a horrible mayor he has been, so sayonara, sucka,&#8221; Andy said during the live broadcast.</p>
<p>Anderson Cooper, who co-hosted the special, tried to hush Andy multiple times to no avail. The real-life friends have hosted the special together for several years now. Anderson landed the gig in 2002 and Andy replaced comedian Kathy Griffin in 2017, <a href="https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/andy-cohen-new-years-eve-drunk-bill-de-blasio-1235145780/">per Variety</a>. Andy seemed confident that despite his comments he&#8217;d be returning to the holiday hosting opportunity.</p>
<p>&#8220;2022! It’s a new year. ‘Cause guess what? I have a feeling I’m going to be standing right here next year, and you know what I’m not going to be looking at, dancing as the city comes apart,&#8221; Andy said. &#8220;You!”</p>
<h6><strong>Andy Apologizes To Ryan Seacrest&#8230;Only</strong></h6>
<p>Despite addressing his tipsy talk on Twitter, Andy offered no apologies for bashing Bill. During Monday&#8217;s episode of his talk show &#8216;Radio Andy,&#8217; he addressed his critiques of Ryan Seacrest hosting a New Year&#8217;s Eve ABC special.</p>

<p>&#8220;The only thing that I regret saying, the only thing is that I slammed the ABC broadcast,&#8221; Andy said<em>. </em>&#8220;And I really like Ryan Seacrest and he&#8217;s a great guy and I really regret saying that and I was just stupid and drunk and feeling it.&#8221;</p>

<div class="paragraph">If you missed the moment, Andy called ABC&#8217;s performers &#8220;a group of losers.&#8221; He also stated that watching ABC means &#8220;watching nothing.&#8221;</div>
<p>Nonetheless, CNN let his antics slide this time. Thoughts, Roommates?</p>
