<p>A 5-year-old boy is recovering in a hospital after being attacked by a mountain lion.</p>
<p>With the recent reports of children being in the hands of wildlife animals, yet another has become a victim. However, this young boys mother was not about to lose her child and took matters into her own hands.</p>
<p>According to CNN, the young boy was outside playing with his older brother, until his mother heard his screams. She rushed outside to see her 5-year-old being attacked by a mountain lion.</p>
<p>She physically moved the mountain lion from her child and suffered minor injuries to her hands and legs.</p>
<p>Her son was taken to Aspen Valley Hospital and later transported to Children’s Hospital in Denver. He is currently in fair condition with injuries to his face, head and neck.</p>
<p>Although mountain lions in Colorado are not uncommon, sighting these animals are. Following the attack, U.S. Forest Service located a mountain lion in the area and put it down.</p>
<p>Investigators are looking into reports of a second mountain lion in the area.</p>
