<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to reports,</span> &#8216;<span style="font-weight: 400;">Coming 2 America&#8217;</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> sequel will debut on Amazon Prime in March 2021. This comes after Amazon acquired worldwide rights to the Coming 2 America sequel. As you may know, Coming 2 America was reportedly sold to Amazon Studios for $125 million.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Initially it was said the film would premiere on Amazon Prime in December of 2020, according to <a href="http://www.variety.com">Variety</a>, but that looks like that may have changed.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you recall, </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coming 2 America </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">focuses on Prince Akeem returning to America when he discovers he has a long-lost son. &#8216;Coming 2 America&#8217; will be directed by Craig Brewer with a script by </span><i><span style="font-weight: 400;">Black-ish </span></i><span style="font-weight: 400;">creator Kenya Barris and was set to hit theaters in 2020.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As we previously reported Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, James Earl Jones, John Amos, Paul Bates, Wesley Snipes, KiKi Layne, Rick Ross, Leslie Jones, and Jermaine Fowler will be part of the ‘Coming 2 America’ cast.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In September, <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/?s=eddie+murphy&;post_type=post">Eddie Murphy</a> won his first Emmy for his guest role on ‘Saturday Night Live’.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This was the 59-year old’s first nomination in 21 years but his fifth nomination overall. He was last nominated in 1999 for Outstanding Animated Program (for programming one hour or less) for Fox’s &#8220;The PJs,&#8221; according to People.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In December 2019, Murphy reprised some of his most iconic SNL characters when he hosted the show for the first time in 35 years.</span></p>
<p>Eddie Murphy was also the recipient for the Lifetime Achievement Award for the upcoming Critics’ Choice Awards. The Critics’ Choice Association has also noted that Eddie is “the most commercially successful African-American actor in movie business history and one of the top-five box-office performers overall.”</p>
