<p>O.J. Simpson has been serving time at the Loveland Correctional Center in Lovelock, Nevada since 2008. The judge sentenced him to 33-years on kidnapping and robbery charges, with eligibility for parole after nine years.</p>
<p>Now, it is a possibility that the 69-year old former NFL player may be released later this year.</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="http://www.si.com/nfl/2017/02/14/oj-simpson-parole-jail-sentence-robbery">Sports Illustrated</a></em>, Simpson is scheduled to go before a Nevada parole board as early as July, and depending on the board’s recommendation, he may be able to walk out of the facility as soon as this fall.</p>
<p>Nevada’s parole hearings typically occur around three months before an inmate is eligible for parole, which means that Simpson will be eligible on October 1<sup>st</sup>. If he is not granted parole, he will remain behind bars until 2022 when he is 75-years-old.</p>
<p>His last sentencing in 2008 occurred on the 13-year anniversary that he was acquitted for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman.</p>
<p>The infamous murder case went on to become a popular series on FX called, “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” which starred Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson.</p>
