Who would be here for a reality show starring O.J. Simpson, Roommates?!
News broke that O.J. Simpson is now parole-eligible and his prison release date has a chance to be granted for as early as October 2017–if the courts approve it!
We hear that producers have already made the idea of a reality show a thing!
According to TMZ, the unidentified producers who are eager to work with O.J. are concerned about securing a housing network for the show. They claim that advertisers may want to stay away for fear that their brands will be connected to the show’s content by viewers.
“Almost to a person, producers and agents said broadcast and cable networks would never air a show featuring O.J.,” the site says. “They say the public wouldn’t tolerate it and no one would advertise on it.”
The potential producers say that the show would most likely have to find its home on Pay-Per-View.
Food for thought: American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson on FX, and O.J.: Made in America on ESPN were very successful programs–and y’all know how much America loves reality TV.
