The White House State Dinner was Thursday and like normal the First Family looked amazing.
Now, we all know first lady Michelle has great taste so what Im about to say might shock you but it shouldnt. Its being reported Malia Obamas dress was priced at $17,990 online and Sashas retailed for $19,990. Both were made by Indian designer Naeem Khan. Haters took to the internet to express their disgust with these prices and questioned who paid for these expensive dresses for teenagers.
For the first time since President Obama has been in office, first daughters Sasha and Malia Obama attended the state dinner with their mom and dad. They of course deserved to be dressed to par as they socialized with everyone from Canadas prime minister and his wife to Blake Lively. Also lets not forget that the Obamas were worth millions before even coming into the White House and since then have brought in roughly $400,000 a year just from the presidents salary.
The Obamas have known to be humble in what they chose to wear and do with their money and deserve to splurge every one in a while just like anyone else. Theres no telling how much Michelles custom Jason Wu gown was, or it was maybe given to her as a gift. Shes been seen in Jason Wu on a few occasions.
This is the First Familys last State Dinner and they for sure went out with a bang. Were gonna let the haters keep talking! We think Sasha and Malia looked great!
