<p>During a recent sit-down with <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MCbtgQUoCs" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Elle</em></a>, Damson Idris reflected on just how impactful <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/cori-broadus-opens-up-kidney-biopsy-lupus-battle/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Snoop Dogg</a>&#8216;s music has been in developing his <em>Snowfall </em>character.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Damson Idris Speaks On How He &#8216;Used Snoop Dogg&#8217;s Music&#8217;</h3>
<p>Damson linked up with the publication to shed light on various &#8220;firsts&#8221; throughout his time in the industry, and he was asked to dish about &#8220;first time being recognized in public.&#8221;</p>
<p>The London-bred actor went on to explain that, while at a party thrown by Floyd Mayweather, Snoop Dogg approached him and acknowledged how much he enjoys the show.</p>
<p>With his best Snoop impersonation, Damson recalled, &#8220;He was like, &#8216;Hey, wassup nephew. I&#8217;m watching the show, man—I love that show.&#8221;</p>
<p>As Snoop Dogg is an <a href="https://twitter.com/dmsnidris/status/1516998014728028161?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener">outspoken fan</a> of the series, the pair swiftly hit it off, and they continue to be friends to this day.</p>
<p>On top of his friendship with the rapper, Damson also reflected on how he &#8220;grew up listening&#8221; to his music. Additionally, he spoke on how he&#8217;d bump bops from <em>Doggystyle </em>&#8220;every single day&#8221; to &#8220;get into character.&#8221;</p>

<p>As a result, Damson says, &#8220;To get recognition from him was truly special and definitely memorable.&#8221; He also said that he &#8220;can&#8217;t wait to work with him one day.&#8221;</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Damson Also Recalled The &#8216;Awkward&#8217; Time When He Met Rihanna</h3>
<p>Snoop Dogg isn&#8217;t the only celeb who Damson dished on, as he also recounted his first time meeting Rihanna, which he called &#8220;awkward.&#8221;</p>
<p>He said that, while out at another party, he spotted Rihanna sitting at the bar, and he admitted, &#8220;I was like, &#8216;This is my moment.'&#8221;</p>
<p>Idris says he proceeded to strut over to the bar and, with his &#8220;best James Bond impersonation,&#8221; introduce himself. However, Rihanna wasn&#8217;t impressed, as &#8220;she was kind of giving [him] one-worded answers.&#8221;</p>
<p>Ultimately, Damson says he asked Rihanna, &#8220;How come as I&#8217;m speaking to you, you think I&#8217;m up to something?&#8221; In turn, she dryly responded, &#8220;Because you are.&#8221;</p>
<p>In spite of this awkward interaction, though, Damson points out that he still managed to secure a spot in the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 4. As a result, he humorously calls the situation a &#8220;full-circle moment.&#8221;</p>
