While people all over the country had fun in the sun this Memorial Day weekend, it looks like DaniLeighmay have partied a lil’ too hard and landed herself behind bars!
According toTMZ, DaniLeigh was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida, early Tuesday morning. Authorities note the “Lil Bebe” artist was involved in a hit-and-run incident with a moped while driving under the influence.
Harrowingly, she’s accused of striking the moped driver and dragging the scooter for about one block before police intervened.
After failing a field sobriety test, the officer says DaniLeigh took a breathalyzer. She allegedly blew0.148well above the legal limit of 0.08.
She was ultimately taken to jail and reportedly charged with three felonies:driving under the influence, DUI damage to property/person, and fleeingthe scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury.
As for the moped driver, authorities say he received medical treatment and was diagnosed with a kidney laceration and spinal fracture.
According to theDaily Mail, DaniLeigh was specifically booked at theTurner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. She has reportedly been released after posting a $9,500 bond.
DaniLeigh has not yet publicly addressed the situation.
While on DaniLeigh, it’s worth noting that this ordeal emerged right after she thanked Beyoncfor the opportunity to help with her Renaissance World Tour choreography.
AsThe Shade Room reported, DaniLeigh thanked Queen Bey for the opportunity earlier this month.
After acknowledging that she had kept the project on the DL, she said she was “so grateful to have been [a part] of some of the choreography” for the beloved tour.
She called the opportunity “a dream come true” before thanking Beyonc and noting, “The show looks amazing!”
