<p><strong>DJ Envy</strong> is reportedly being ordered to comply with a bankruptcy court subpoena or face arrest. According to legal affairs reporter Meghann Cuniff, the order, filed on Wednesday, December 20, also applies to Envy&#8217;s business associates, <strong>Cesar Pina</strong> and his wife, <strong>Jennifer Iturralde Pina</strong>.</p>
<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/cesar-pina-wire-fraud-real-estate-dj-envy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, in October, Pina was arrested for committing wire fraud in connection to a real estate scam. Additionally, DJ Envy promoted Pina&#8217;s ventures on his nationally syndicated radio show, &#8216;The Breakfast Club.&#8217; Since then, dozens of investors have come forward alleging Pina defrauded them of millions while they trusted DJ Envy to be a reliable source.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">More Details Regarding The Bankruptcy Judge&#8217;s Subpoena &; Arrest Threat</h3>
<p>According to a <a href="https://www.legalaffairsandtrials.com/p/bankruptcy-judge-orders-the-breakfast" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> published by Cuniff on Thursday, December 21, DJ Envy, whose government name is Raashaun Casey, was hit with an initial subpoena on November 9. The filing reportedly requested &#8220;communications and documents&#8221; related to two real estate investment companies owned by Pina.</p>
<p>Cuniff reports that the companies were forced into bankruptcy by creditors earlier this year. Additionally, the companies are now being overseen by a court-appointed trustee.</p>
<p>According to Cuniff, DJ Envy did not provide the requested documents on or before the subpoena&#8217;s November 28 deadline. Now, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Rosemary Gambardella is ordering the radio host to produce &#8220;all documents requested&#8221; by Monday, January 8.</p>
<p>If Envy, Cesar Pina, and his wife do not comply, a hearing will be held to address &#8220;appropriate sanctions&#8221; against the group.</p>
<p>Penalties reportedly include, though are not limited to, an order for arrest.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">DJ Envy&#8217;s Legal Troubles Reportedly Build</h3>
<p>According to Cuniff, the bankruptcy judge&#8217;s latest order arrives amid the radio host being hit with a new federal lawsuit. The suit alleges that Envy&#8217;s promotion of Pina&#8217;s real estate ventures was &#8220;instrumental&#8221; in the plaintiffs becoming investors with Pina.</p>
<p>Additionally, the plaintiff&#8217;s attorney, Alexander Schachtel, informed Cuniff that he has &#8220;significant evidence that implicates DJ Envy&#8221; in Pina&#8217;s schemes. Furthermore, Schachtel&#8217;s evidence allegedly shows that the radio host profited from his alleged involvement.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;We also have bank statements which show that the two had multiple joint bank accounts earning at least $330k through 2021 from their joint seminars alone,&#8221; Schachtel informed Cuniff. &#8220;We anticipate that when we get complete bank records via discovery there will be much more evidence in that department.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>As <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/cesar-pina-wire-fraud-real-estate-dj-envy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Shade Room</a> previously reported, federal agents arrested Pina and charged him with one count of wire fraud in October. At the time, Pina pled not guilty and was released from jail on a $1 million bond.</p>

<p>Later that month, Pina took to Instagram Live to assert that there are multiple &#8220;sides to every story.&#8221; Additionally, he alleged that he doesn&#8217;t owe money to the plaintiffs behind the dozens of suits filed against him.</p>
<p>At the time, Pina also alleged that DJ Envy had nothing to do with his fraud schemes.</p>
