<p>Recently news broke that L.A. Reid was stepping down from his position at Epic Records. Shortly after sexual harassment claims started to arise following Reid’s departure.</p>
<p>Since then many people have been wondering, who would be replacing Reid at Epic Records?</p>
<p>According to <em><a href="http://pagesix.com/2017/05/22/dj-khaled-wants-to-take-l-a-reids-spot-at-epic-records/">Page Six</a></em>, sources have been giving some insight on what could possibly be going on when it comes to filling Reid’s former position.</p>
<p>An inside source has reportedly revealed that DJ Khaled is allegedly interested in filling the position saying, “He was petitioning to get that job. He’s like, ‘I make more happen than anyone in the game, why would I not be considered to run the label?’ ”</p>
<p>The exact reason why Reid stepped down from his position is still unknown, but the source continued to say that Sony CEO Rob Stringer allegedly let Reid go because of his “diva” antics. While another source reportedly claims it was due to “something that happened and it got cleaned up.”</p>
<p>Aside from DJ Khaled, many other big names in the industry have reportedly been looking to fill Reid’s spot.</p>
<p>Another source reportedly said, “Khaled is a big hype machine — not a person who’s running a record label.”</p>
<p>There is no official word on who will get the position, but there are a few names being tossed around as possible replacements.</p>
