Roommates, there seems to be some drama surrounding the animated #Deadpool tv show, because it got cancelled y’all! As you know, this is #DonaldGlover’s tv show and the announcement was made yesterday with FX citing creative differences. There were also rumblings that Glover had a packed schedule and couldn’t commit to the show.
However, this morning, Glover tweeted, “for the record: i wasnt too busy to work on deadpool” and proceeded to drop a 15-page “feaux-script” in which he may actually be hiding his own thoughts about the cancellation behind the guise of Deadpool. “You know, I’m not mad about this whole ‘cancelled’ thing. I mean, is it even a good time to have a violent, gun loving white man ranting on TV? Other than the PRESIDENT?” Deadpool says in the fake script.
Deadpool goes on to question why the show is really ending and asks if it could be racism. “Do you think they canceled the show… cause of racism?! … Yeah, but all the writers were black. And the references were pretty black too. … Maybe we were alienating our white audience? No. We did a whole goat yoga episode. Damn.”
The rest of the script makes references to the #WhoBitBeyoncé biting saga, #BlackPanther, #Fortnite, #Bitcoin, Facebook’s Cambridge Analytica Scandal and so much more.
