<p>Roommates, 2020 has been quite an odd year so far, and it seems like the strange occurrences won&#8217;t be stopping any time soon, as Donald Trump has just been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://www.reuters.com/article/us-nobel-prize-peace-trump-idUSKBN2601R4">Reuters</a>, a Norwegian lawmaker has nominated Donnie for the prize for his role in brokering a deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. This is reportedly the second time the lawmaker has nominated Trump for the prize.</p>
<p>Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian Parliament, submitted the nomination, and says Trump has done his part to &#8220;create peace&#8221; amongst the nations.</p>
<p>&#8220;For his merit, I think the has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,&#8221; he said, &#8220;As it is expected other Middle Eastern countries will follow in then footsteps of the UAE, this agreement could be a game-changer that will turn the Middle East into a region of cooperation and prosperity.&#8221;</p>
<p>Tybring-Gjedde also applauds Trump for removing armed forces from the Middle East and creating positive contact between &#8220;conflicting parties&#8221;.</p>
<p>&#8220;Indeed, Trump has broken a 39-year-old streak of American Presidents either starting a war or bringing the United States into an international armed conflict. The last president to avoid doing sob was Peace Prize laureate Jimmy Carter.&#8221;</p>
<p>Previously, Donnie had a few complaints about the prize, particularly about the fact that <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/social-media-celebrates-obama-day-on-trumps-birthday/">Barack Obama</a> won it and he hadn&#8217;t.</p>
<p>&#8220;They gave it to Obama. He didn&#8217;t even know what he got it for. He was there for about 15 seconds and he got the Nobel Prize. He said, &#8220;Oh, what did I get it for?'&#8221; Trump said in February 2019. &#8220;With me, I probably will never get it.&#8221;</p>
<p>Well, despite his skepticism about winning himself, Donnie is indeed nominated, which means he has a chance to be a Nobel Peace Prize holder.</p>
