<p>It looks like <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/twitter-supports-dj-quik-saying-he-should-be-as-popular-as-dr-dre-i-dont-think-its-fair/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Dre</a> may have ignited some beef with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), a major figure in far-right politics who closely aligns herself with Donald Trump.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Dr. Dre Takes Issue With Marjorie Taylor Greene Using &#8216;Still D.R.E.&#8217;</h3>
<p>The situation unfolded on Monday after Marjorie uploaded a <a href="https://twitter.com/RepMTG/status/1612451685338603522?s=20&;t=TxR2F6QNemU1YoKeDHWySg" target="_blank" rel="noopener">since-disabled video</a> that showed her confidently walking around the U.S. Capitol and relishing in <a href="https://kevinmccarthy.house.gov/about" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rep. Kevin McCarthy</a> (R-Calif.) being elected as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives. Notably, the video had &#8220;Still D.R.E.&#8221; by Dr. Dre playing in the background.</p>
<p>Shortly after Marjorie&#8217;s upload, Dr. Dre let it be known that he was not pleased with the unauthorized use of his song, and he went in on the controversial politician!</p>
<p>In a statement to <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2023/01/09/dr-dre-didnt-license-song-rep-marjorie-taylor-green-video/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>TMZ</em></a>, Dr. Dre flat-out said, &#8220;I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one.&#8221;</p>
<p>It was also around this time that the rapper&#8217;s team reached out to Twitter in order to remove Marjorie&#8217;s video.</p>
<p>The politician soon responded by bashing Dr. Dre&#8217;s character as well.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;While I appreciate the creative chord progression, I would never play your words of violence against women and police officers, and your glorification of the thug life and drugs.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Marjorie also shared a screenshot of her statement to Twitter, cheekily writing, &#8220;The next episode..&#8221;</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Dr. Dre&#8217;s Attorney Pops Off In A Cease &; Desist</h3>
<p>Attorney Howard King, Dr. Dre&#8217;s lawyer, ultimately issued a <a href="https://dam.tmz.com/document/c4/o/2023/01/09/c47058ead12a432d938227fb78d6d3a0.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cease and desist</a> on behalf of his client, in which Marjorie was accused of &#8220;wrongfully using [&#8216;Still D.R.E.&#8217;] to promote [her] divisive and hateful political agenda.&#8221;</p>
<p>We also have to note that the lawyer read Marjorie for filth.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;One might expect that, as a member of Congress, you would have a passing familiarity with the laws of our country. It&#8217;s possible, though, that laws governing intellectual property are a little too arcane and insufficiently populist for you to really have spent much time on. We&#8217;re writing because we think an actual lawmaker should be making laws not breaking laws, especially those embodied in the constitution by the founding fathers.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>While the cease and desist asks that Marjorie respond by Thursday, it seems like the message radiated loud and clear.</p>
<p>The politician hasn&#8217;t issued any further commentary on the matter.</p>
