The battle between Dr. Luke and Kesha seems to be far from over. Last month Kesha dropped her California lawsuit against the producer, proceeding with her New York lawsuit.
However, this time around the drama is surrounding Dr. Luke and Keshas mom, Pebe Sebert.
According to Billboard, Dr. Luke is suing Sebert for libel once again. He first filed against her back in 2014 for defaming his name and accusing him of sexual abuse and drug use. He filed a suit in New York and Tennessee, but the suit was dismissed in New York and still remains in Tennessee.
This time around they are citing an interview that Sebert gave in March and social media posts.
Dr. Lukes lawyer said, After we originally filed suit against Pebe Sebert, she continued to make outrageous, false and defamatory statements against Dr. Luke in her widespread media campaign to damage him and smear his name.
In return, Seberts lawyer told the Pitchfork, This marks Dr. Lukes second effort to sue a mother for publicly supporting and believing her daughter about being raped. Its also a transparent attempt to delay the trial of these issues. Mrs. Sebert looks forward to presenting her case to a jury as soon as possible.
Last month Kesha expressed how eager she is to release new music.
