It has been awhile since we have heard anything about the battle between Dr. Luke and Kesha, nonetheless, their battle is far from over.
Now the producer has reportedlysubpoenaed Lady Gaga for a deposition.
According to TMZ, Dr. Luke reportedly filed documents demanding that Lady Gaga locks down a date when she can sit for the deposition. Luke reportedly said that the singer tried to submit a written statement, but that was not good enough.
Luke reportedly wants the singer to submit her text message conversations with Kesha. According to the documents, in the text messages, Kesha reportedly said she had been abused by Dr. Luke and encouraged Gaga to join a “smear campaign against [Dr. Luke].”
Luke reportedly claims that campaign included Gaga encouraging Sony Music to part ways with him, and her promotion of Free Kesha on social media.
Lukes lawyer subpoenaed Gaga to get a copy of the texts, however, the copies they received were reportedly altered. Now Luke reportedly wants a judge to force Gaga to turn over the version of her texts that have not been edited.
Lady Gaga’s team released a statement to Variety and said,AsLady Gagas legal team will present to the court, she has provided all of the relevant information in her possession and is at most an ancillary witness in this process. Dr. Lukes team is attempting to manipulate the truth and draw press attention to their case by exaggeratingLady Gagas role and falsely accusing her of dodging reasonable requests.
